What has changed in RCHUB Racing: game builds, the track editor and the website.

Closed Preview — Body Aerodynamics, Yellow Track Boards & Island Bucket Fill

Welcome to the first public changelog for RCHUB Racing! Below is a summary of the core features and recent improvements in the current Windows and Browser Track Editor preview build.

Physics, Cars & Garage

  • Aerodynamic Body Setup: Added Rear Body Height (spoiler/wing lift in mm) and Front-to-Rear Body Position adjustments to the Setup Sheet:

  • - Raising the rear of the body increases simulated downforce, shifts aero balance rearward for greater rear stability, and slightly increases straight-line drag.
    - Shifting the body shell forward or backward adjusts front/rear downforce balance without adding drag.
  • Wheels & Body Proportions: Updated 1:10 touring wheels to a flat-tread carpet profile with a small shoulder and 50 mm 6-double-spoke rims; standardized touring body widths to 190 mm at the axles with smoothed surface normals.

  • 1:10 Touring & 1:12 Pan Car Catalog: Full part catalog in the Garage including 1:10 4WD belt-drive touring chassis, 1:12 direct-drive pan car chassis, 21.5T–4.5T brushless motors (plus custom motor creator), 100A–200A 2S & 1S ESCs, 2S/1S LiPo batteries, new/worn rubber and foam tyres, and multiple aero bodies.
  • Track Editor (Browser & In-Game)

  • Island Bucket Fill (`B`): Added a Method switch (key `B`) to the Island tool. Click inside any area bounded by barriers, tape, kerbs, boards, the racing lane, other islands, or the carpet border to automatically flood-fill and snap a single island (2.5 cm grid detection, automatically bridges gaps up to 10 cm).

  • Yellow Track Boards (`100 × 10 mm`): Added chamfered yellow wooden boards drawn in straight lines and automatically split into 1 m segments (minimum 20 cm) with endpoint handles. Cars can ride over boards with both wheels and chassis.

  • Custom Carpet & Island Color Wheel: Step 1 of the Track Editor now includes a live color wheel to tint the black carpet/lane and pick custom island colors. Cosmetic color changes are excluded from the track geometry hash so they do not reset leaderboards.

  • Country Picker & City Label: Track metadata now supports a searchable two-column country flag picker and city/venue label (e.g., "Zawadzkie, Poland").

  • Precision Drawing & Navigation:

  • - Start drawing shapes directly from contact points on existing elements; sharp corners form automatically where shapes meet.
    - Added a Simplify button for drawn paths and optional override for narrow-passage warnings.
    - Editable outer carpet border barrier.
    - Zoom toward mouse cursor, middle-mouse pan at any time, and `WASD` / arrow key camera panning.
    - Green hover highlight matches the real width of the hovered element (minimum 3 px when zoomed out so 10 cm boards remain clearly visible).

Time Trial, Marshal & Online Multiplayer

  • Marshal Placement: The track marshal now carries the car to the pit/grid at the start call and places it onto the rubber racing line facing the driving direction, with a visible lift animation when recovering a crashed car.

  • Online Multiplayer HUD: Redesigned the online room HUD with server status and player list on the left beneath session tags, and a compact vertical chat tab that blinks on new messages.

  • Pit-Stop Setup in Qualifying & Race: Drivers can now open the Pit-Stop setup menu during qualifying and race sessions.

  • Auto-Hide Mouse Cursor: The mouse cursor now hides automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity and reappears immediately on movement, click, or scroll.

  • Build Version Display: The current game version (commit + build date) is now displayed on the start screen and beneath the Track Editor tool list.
